Brown spots on hands: 10 remedies to remove them naturally




In order to prevent dark spots from appearing on your hands, prevention is the best medicine. Avoid long exposure to the sun, and cover them with a high protection factor sunscreen. Remember to moisturize your hands after each wash and use a day cream rich in vitamin C. Protect your hands with gloves when you do your housework because of certain detergents that are too abrasive and dry out the skin. You must also eat a diet rich in antioxidants and vitamins, drink enough water and, above all, stop smoking, which degrades the quality of the skin and accelerates aging.

2. Lemon and alum stone

Lemon has a lightening power and by adding alum powder to it, the mixture will even out the skin tone . You have to mix a tablespoon of powder of alum stone with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of orange blossom water. Then, massage the mixture onto your hands and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing your hands with hot water and applying moisturizer.

3. White clay and cucumber

This mixture is one of the best natural tips against brown spots on the hands because the white clay has a brightening action which is multiplied by the cucumber which depigments . Mix half a mixed cucumber with 1 tablespoon of white clay and a tablespoon of honey. Apply the mixture to your hands and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Do this treatment in the evening so as not to expose your hands to the sun right after.

4. Apple cider vinegar and onion


This remedy decreases and prevents dark spots with proven effectiveness. Soak, overnight, slices of a red onion in apple cider vinegar . Then place them on your spots every night before going to bed. If you do this treatment daily you will see these brown spots gradually diminish.

5. Parsley and Aloe vera gel

You can use them in two different ways. The first is to mix 2 handfuls of parsley, add a case of Aloe vera gel to apply on your hands. The second is a lotion lightening. You must boil 25 g of parsley in 20 cl of water, leave to stand for an hour and add 30 cl of mineral water. Keep this lotion in your fridge and use it every morning by rubbing it on your spots with a cotton pad.

6. Natural anti-stain oils

Certain oils are known to lighten age spots in addition to their nourishing and moisturizing power. Mix with the same proportions of olive oil and black seed oil and use it to massage your hands daily for 20 minutes. You can also use castor oil .


7. Birch bark

The depigmenting power of birch bark has long been recognized. To benefit from it, simply boil 40 g of white birch bark powder in 50 cl of water for 10 minutes. Apply this lotion morning and evening with a cotton pad.

8. Honey and yogurt

This treatment should be done every day in order to obtain a better result. Make a mixture with a teaspoon of honey and another of plain yogurt. Apply this mixture to your dark spots, leave it on for about half an hour and rinse your hands with clean water.

9. Potato peels


The potato skin is full of vitamin C which has a great depigmenting power. Peel a potato and use the peel to rub your age spots.

10. Rice flour, milk and rose water

Mix 2 tablespoons of rice flour with 2 tablespoons of raw milk and apply this mixture on the brown spots. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water, then apply rose water lotion on your hands.
