The mysterious machine of Akkas

In 1844, during an expedition to Africa, the famous British explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton discovered a tribe of ape-men he called the "Akkas". The Akkas lived in an isolated valley, hidden in the middle of the dense forest. They were small and tall, with fur-covered faces and webbed fingers like those of monkeys. Burton was fascinated by these creatures and spent several months studying them and learning their language.

One day, the Akkas took him to a deep cave where they showed him a strange stone machine. The machine looked like a huge clock, but it had symbols and runes that did not belong to any known language. Burton was amazed that the Akkas used this machine to predict the future, and he was even more amazed when they predicted with incredible accuracy the future events that would occur in the world.

Unfortunately, Burton was never able to share this incredible discovery with the rest of the world, because upon his return to England, he became seriously ill and died a few weeks later. His travel journal was found among his belongings, but it was dismissed as the ravings of a dying man and was never taken seriously by the scientists of the time. The truth about the Akkas and their machine remains a mystery to this day.
