3. Green leafy vegetables
Not all green leafy vegetables should be put in the microwave. The reason? They may contain high concentrations of nitrates which turn into a toxic substance inside the device.
4. Chicken
To cook the chicken properly, you must use a traditional oven . It is a type of meat that contains bacteria such as salmonella and Campylobacter , which only die at high temperatures and evenly cooked. It is therefore better not to risk endangering your health.
5. Rice
When rice is left at room temperature, it multiplies bacteria. Microwave cooking is therefore not enough to remove toxic substances that could cause vomiting and diarrhea .
6. Mushrooms
Mushrooms should never be heated in the microwave but in a pan. The microwave, in fact, could deteriorate them completely and cause an upset stomach.
7. Frozen meat
The microwave oven is often used to defrost meat quickly, but when the temperatures and time are bad, the outside is overcooked while the inside is left raw. The best way to thaw meat is to put it in sealed plastic bags and let it soak in cold water. Although it will take a little longer, the result will be much better.
8. Breast milk and homogenized
Heating baby's milk in the microwave could be harmful to the baby. Even if the bottle is cold, the milk inside can be boiling hot. It is therefore preferable to use more traditional methods.
